Why Logistik & Transport is a natural meeting place for the industry

“The Logistik & Transport trade fair in Gothenburg is an effective way to build connections and discover the latest developments in warehousing and logistics,” says Maria Rang, Managing Director of Consafe Logistics Sweden AB, who is one of the speakers in this year’s conference program.

Maria Rang has been part of Consafe Logistics’ leadership team for eight years, the last six of which as Managing Director of the Swedish operations. Today, she leads an organization that works with around 80 of the company’s roughly 250 customers – several of whom operate some of the Nordic region’s most complex and technology-driven logistics solutions.

With a background as a data engineer and 16 years of experience at Sony, Maria has a deep technical understanding – something that strongly shapes her view on value creation, innovation, and customer collaboration.

“Our strength does not lie in just delivering what the customer initially asks for. We see ourselves as guides – helping our customers find the solution that truly meets their needs. We challenge their questions and contribute new perspectives so they get the best possible solution for their business. Part of this also means helping them adopt and use new technologies such as AI and Digital Twin in ways that create tangible business value,” she says.

Why is Logistik & Transport such an important meeting place for the industry?

“The trade fair has grown steadily and become a natural arena for the entire logistics sector. Here, players from logistics, warehousing, and transportation meet to share insights, network, and discover concrete solutions,” Maria explains.

“It’s an incredibly efficient way to quickly get an overview of trends, see real customer cases, and meet customers, partners, and suppliers. If you only travel once a year – this is where you should go.”

You’re speaking at the conference yourself – what will your talk focus on?

“I will talk about how the logistics industry can prepare for an uncertain future where multiple crises interact and affect our supply chains. The focus is on what is needed to build robust, future-proof logistics solutions – and how to take the first step toward automation.

I will share trend forecasts, but also concrete examples from real customer cases – making it easier to translate strategies into practice.”

What is most important for Consafe Logistics and for you right now?

“Two areas: sustainability and efficiency improvements. We see both as critical for our customers to meet the demands from both the market and society. Sustainability is no longer just about responsibility – it’s a competitive factor. And in a time of high costs, global uncertainty, and increasing expectations for speed, efficient logistics becomes a key to growing profitably and sustainably. Here, new technology plays an increasingly important role – enabling better data-driven decisions and optimization to achieve both efficiency and sustainability goals.”

How does Consafe Logistics stand out when it comes to customer relationships?

“I would say one of the things that sets us apart is our deep expertise – we are more than 470 people working exclusively on optimizing and improving warehouse processes. But it’s not just about technical competence – it’s also about how we build long-term relationships. We strive to truly understand our customers’ challenges in depth, not just respond to their needs but also challenge their thinking, so that together we can create smarter and more sustainable logistics solutions. It is in this close collaboration that real value emerges.”

What does it mean for you to be both exhibitor and participant at the fair?

“For us, the fair is mainly about building relationships, sparking curiosity, and opening conversations. We get the chance to meet both existing and potential customers, start new dialogues, and trigger ideas about how our solutions can support their business.

Visitors don’t come to buy a WMS right there and then – it’s a long and strategic process. But we make many valuable contacts here, which we can then develop further afterwards.”
